removing smog pump....

i have a shortbelt on my car(bypassing ac and smog) and i want to just take off the smog pump all together. do i just plug the air lines comming off it and take off the tube that goes to my h-pipe? also, is it much work to remove the a/c too?

they do make smog pump delete kits. i don't know what all is involved in removing it, but i know mike (oink) took his out, you might want to PM him.

You just take all of those pipes above the header out, along with the pump and plug ur o/r h-pipe. Also, there is a pipe on the back of the cylinder heads. I was able to take mine out, but most people say to just cap it. If you take it out, you have to put bolts in place of the holes in the back of the head.
