Quick question... I'm currently removing the gauge cluster to fix my tach and speedo, but I've run into a problem. I can't detach the speedo cable from the cluster! I've done everyone from prying, the fiddling with that plastic deelio.. but nothing! It won't budge. Anyone know how to get it off? I know it's a noob question, but I just can't figure it out.

Thanks,

Brandon

hehe, well here is the deal with mine... my speedo didn't work at all since I bought the car. I figured either the gear was toast or the cable had snapped. So I pull the cluster off and find that the cable isn't attached at all! I wanted to see if the clip or something was broken and caused it to fall off, so I snapped it back on... that's when I couldn't get if off, lol. But hey, it works now... so thanks again!

There is a plastic clip on the speedo cable near the head. Press down firmly on the clip and the cable will release from the speedo head. Pull back on the cable while squeezing the clip and it comes apart easily.
