Removing the Gauge Cluster

In the engine compartment, where the cable comes through, follow it down towards the tranny. Where it gets close to the frame it is bolted into a bracket. If you take out that bolt and loosen the braket, you will get enough slack to easily disconnect it.

if you wanna remove it from behind the cluster, just reach as much of you hand as you can back there, and pull on it while twisting..... i'm 99% sure its not threaded into the cluster..... it is kinda hard to get out, just pull on the connector and it will come, make sure your electrical connectors are out already, if memory serves me right, taking those connectors out gives you a bit more room to reach your fingers back

hope that helped

Once you can get your hand in the back to release the speedometer cable from the gage cluster just push down on the flat part of the nylon ring that holds the cable to the housing on the back of the gages cluster.

PUSH THIS

Which releases the nub.

The nub is what actually hold the speedometer in place because it locks into a groove on the housing.

Housing groove.
