better get a new gasket just to be sure. take off the air intake tubing. unplug all the vacuum lines and wires from the different sensors. unhook the throttle body. take off the 5.0 cover and unbolt it

IIRC, you need some torx bits. new gasket is 5 bucks at AZ. use no gasket maker or RTV on it. dont overtorque it upon reinstall. good luck.

oh yeah, repair manual is a great investment.

ok sorry. i thought the Haynes had a pic with the bolt locations and stuff. you got a diff intake anyhow.
i dont think you need a torque wrench, if you dont have one. just dont go too tight. on a stock plenum, the spec is like 10 ft/lbs. i could be wrong, but it is really not much. i use a 1/4" ratchet to be sure not to get crazy.
good luck.

If you're going to be doing any work on your engine, you're going to need a torque wrench. If you ever take your wheels off, you need a torque wrench to reinstall them. It's one of the most basic tools you should have in your toolbox.
