Getting ready to order and install a new gauge cage, so i need to remove the central vent from my dash.

I don't want to ruin the nice vent, and i can't figure out how to remove it.

Thanks.

First you need to remove the vents themselves. Just squeeze the center 2 horizontal vent slats and pull it out with you hands. (No tools required here). Then once you get the vents themselves out you need to pull out the housing for the vents. You will see 4 tabs behind each vent. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. Use a small flathead screwdriver to pull the tabs downward will pulling out with you other hand.
Hope this helps.

I bought the vent cage from autometer ..
The instruction that come along with it are very good and easy to understand.
I fallowed it step by step and the vent was remove properly and still in very good shape ..

Basicly you just need a screw driver to remove the vent and then the tricky part is to lift the 4 tab retaining the vent cage.

You'll see when you get there !
The look is awesome . I'm very happy with it !

You will love it !
