Hi gang, I am new to this forum. Hope you can help me. I purchased two new "frame supports" for my '66 coupe years ago. Have never installed them. Is this a tough job? The supports that are on the car are caved in (certain spots) due to improper placement of floor jack over the years. The supports are about 29 1/2 inches long. steel. They look like they are welded to the sheet metal floorpan. Do the old ones need to be cut out with a torch? I have very little experience with welding. Lot's of mechanical ability (ex-mechanic) but no welding. I am guessing that this is a common problem with early mustangs because lots of people place floor jacks on this support in order to lift the car from the side. Thanks in advance !
