On a 94 this is a real PITA, but I gave it a try. Well after hours of struggling, i was able to affix the gasket to the pan, and press it up towards the block. I used RTV in the 4 corners of the block.. Using a one peice gasket, do you have to press it up into the block first then put the pan on? I found this nearly impossible, so i went the other route. I bet its going to leak as the gasket near the rear bearing seems to be sticking out a bit...

If it leaks, I will have to pull the enigne and that would end my converts summer...

Congrats, at least you tried it. Maby next time if it leaks is the same thing but a different technique in gasket alignment. Try using the pan bolts to hold the gasket in place, then slide the pan into place. Look at your gasket, many gaskets have smaller holes near the corners which are barley big enough to fit the bolts through. Try seeing if they will hold the bolt in place, that is what they are for if equiped. Otherwise you can try using RVT as a flexable glue to hold the bolts in place so they hold the gasket place. I work in a service shop and this is what we have to do a lot of the times to get it to fit. Good luck.

Next time, if there is a next time hopefully not, try using a gasket with steel reinforcement. This helps a lot and seals great. Fel-pro or victor makes good gaskets.
