I am about to remove the tranny in my '96 GT and replace the clucth (TO bearing is shot). Does anyone know of any technical papers or websites I could check out to get any tips/tricks on removing the tranny. Going to be doing this in my garage on jackstands so limited space and flexibility and just want to see if there is anything you guys know that will make things go smoother. Thanks.

It's going to be tight! Make sure to support the front of the motor with something (a small jack would be best) so when you go back to put the tranny in you don't have to fight it to get it lined up.

Thanks guys. Bought a Chiltons. Got it out after about 3 1/2 hours. The exhaust was a pain cuz the O2 sensors get in the way and you were right - the starter is very tight and calls for a couple long extensions and a swivel. Not looking forward to re-installing the starter. Throw out bearing was in pieces, ball bearings everywhere! Oh, well. Thanks again for the help.
