replacing engine, need help!

Hey, I just got a '94 mustang convertible for a first car but the engine was bad in it. I bought V6 with 42k miles on and i have an engine hoist, I am ready to pull the engine but was wondering what would be the best way to hook up the engine hoist to pull the old one out and the new one hasn't run in about 2 years what do i need to do get it ready to run? any help is much appreciated, thank you.

does it not have the engine hoist hook up on the old motor? there like black hooks that come out of eathier the heads or the block.

Do you have a Chilton's manual? The forums can not take the place of a professionally written service manual. The detailed step by step instructions are well worth the $$. Will pay for itself the first time it is used.
