Replacing Front Seat Belt Latch

I am trying to replace the driver's side seatbelt latch (the piece on the seat) and I can't find the connector for the wire. Is it just buried deep under the seat or do I need to take the seat out to replace it? I've searched for an answer but nothing came up.

If you are talking about the wire that makes the "fasten seatbelt" light go on and off, then i will tell you that you do have to take the seat out, or at least the center console...all the wiring runs under the rug/console. I took my seat out to disconnect mine when i put the Simpsons in and i found that it was the easiest way to do it.
