Replacing seat foam: Economy foam any good?

Going to Johns in Houston on Monday to buy a load of stuff for my car. Its the first nickel I've spent on it in about 2 years. I'm going to replace the seat covers and possibly the foam. I noticed that there is an "economy" foam availably from most vendors and was wondering if anyone has tried it.

well i bought seat foams for my 73 stang and i bought the good foam from mustang unlimited.... but i just looked in national parts depot mag... and saw the the econmy foam is only like 10 bucks cheeper but looks hard to put in and doesnt look to good of quality... and if your car is a 67 there is only a $12 diff... i would go with the good foam cause it molds good to your seat frame... and pluss if your going to put some money into your car do it right and go with quality stuff.. pluss i think your seats will feel better and last longer.....

I was told that the economy foam is fine for standard interiors for a 65-70 mustang. I don't know about the rest of the models. I do know that the economy foam is no good for a few different types of interiors. I used economy when I did a standard, and I used regular when I did a deluxe. Both turned out great. I suggest you ask someone at NPD. I lived a few miles from the Michigan warehouse, and they usually had someone working that would answer your questions.

I didnt even know there was different versions. I know for standard/pony interior there are differences but they are the same in price.. I guess u learn something new everday.
