I bought a slightly used Mac H-pipe w/ 2-cats last year, and when my friend and I installed it, we had a horrible leak on the driver's side. I went to an exhaust shop and the guy said Mac fitment sucks and the flange needed to be replaced (to do so, he had to replace about 8" of the pipe) it sounded good but I always thought it still had a very slight leak. Now the leak is definently back... near the top stud.
I've always been contiplating replacing the h-pipe with just an o/r one, but maybe its a stud problem? I know Prochamber installs require the studs to be replaced.. The bolts are on tight as could be...
Is it worth it to just try replacing the studs or does it sound like my midpipe is just ****ed?
