Well I had an extra key fob laying around for my mustang which I dont use because I have the fob that came with my alarm. Anyways I gave it to my sister to use on her Focus. I thought that when I programmed it to her car it would over-ride the mustang, but it unlocks both doors at once! so now everytime she pops her trunk, mine opens too... any Ideas how to reprogram it the right way??

all you can do is go into program mode with your mustang and reprogram the remotes you use and not program the one for the focus.

everytime you put the RKE into program mode ( 8 key cycles) it clears all the remotes, so you will not have hers programmed to your car after you do this.

You programmed it with the key turning method right? If so it should of cleared both out and then made you reprogram all

If not look n your trunk, there will be a clip on the drivers side (looks like an unplugged piece attached onto a black plastic thing) use a screw driver, paper clip or key to jump the jumpers (make sure your key is in ignition and turned onto on position)

You will hear door lock and unlock, now press any button on all keyless remotes you have for the car, even your present remote even if it worked, you need to press a button on it when the doors lock and unlock.
