Are there any good tuners in the area that specialize in Mustangs? I know of none and am NOT taking my car to some half ass place that kinda knows what there doing with Mustangs. I'd like to find a place somewhat near, within the Tri-state area. If not, I may just have to take a roadtrip to MD in Georgia.

Where have you guys takin your cars?

two thumbs down on LaRocca's....Kauffmans is worth the ride. Dave will give you a safe tune & focus on driveability & reliability. He'll explain what he is doing & make suggestions. They(Kauffmans) are not hucksters..their prices are more than fair.A pleasure to deal with. I PM'd you

Got your PM, sent ya back. I haven't heard anything negative about them. I'm down there 4-5 times a year for Carlisle shows, it isn't that bad of a drive ~2.5 hours. But well worth it IMO if your getting top notch people doing work for ya!

I just found a guy in Yonkers, NY. I found his company from SCT's website. The company is called Force Performance and his name is Matt. Anyway, he sounds like he knows his stuff and he said he would do a custom SCT tune for me on a dyno and I can keep the Xcalibrator 2 for $500. Sounds like a good deal to me. Anyone heard of them?

Id wholeheartedly reccomend kauffman motorsports in dillsburg pa. Its a 2.5 hour drive for me but i still go there. Dave their tuner is a very knowledgeable guy and will give you a safe tune and they aren't anal about having you ask questions and hang out like other shops.

they can do efi solutions or sct.

A+ from me and their prices are very fair.

I have heard great things about Mustang Magic and Kauffman's. I have all my work done at JD's Performance which is in the Philly area, and there are constantly cars there from Jersey, Delaware, NY, etc. They are very knowledgeable and extract some sick power out of cars. You can hang out there all day and Joe explains everything he is doing, and he never "over-tunes" anything. I recommend JD's to everybody, but you won't go wrong with any of the three shops I mentioned.

Dan, i am hurt that you didnt ask me about this...

anyway, i thought you were going to Kauffmans for the dyno day? why are you getting your car tuned? running issues? not be offensive, but with your lack of mods, you would be best on holding off on a dyno tune.

OT: Scotts Saleen is AMAZING! :D

I may hold off since gas has gotten completely ridiculous, but they have said about 10 horse and 30 ft./lbs. on a bolt on only car. I wanna get cams in the spring so I may just hold off....or just buy a Cobra, I dunno?

If I can get off work, I'll be going to the dyno day for sure, but I dunno with the new job and all...

OT: Scott's extreme is real nice, but I would never pay that much for a mustang! I'm sorry but I think I'd buy an m3 for that cabbage or make a reg. GT or Cobra be prolly 6, 7, 8 hundred hp easily!

Try Second Street Speed in Perkesie, PA.

Or you could come out to Long Island and visit my shop :nice:

stay away from JDM in freehold the guys a thief ,bull***er ,i speek from first hand they come off very nice till they got your car then the lies start and the price increases a few times before you get it back trust me i gain nothing from this reply i was ripped off already ..the shop is a few miles from my house and i used him......never ever ever again.as a matter a fact i just might slap him around if i see him out of his element.
