Hello, new here, great forum. I have a issue with my 06 GT. I have replaced a defective TPS on the throttle body but can't clear the fail-safe "wrench" mode. Everything checks good and all connections look ok. I disconnected the battery but it won't clear. Any one know is there a way to clear the fail-safe? I hope I won't have to go to the dealer.
thanks

What was wrong with original TPS? Did you take reference voltages? If not there is your issue.

The bad TPS was reading 5v with the key on. When you hit the pedal it read very erratic. It gave the wrench symbol and would just idle and not accelerate. The new one reads .97v with the key on and is smooth when you hit the pedal to about 4.3v. Just can't clear the code and wont do anything but idle. thanks for your input.
