Hi everyone, I have a 65 coupe that I bought with a 302 in it and realized after a few months that it was originally a 6 cyl car (lesson one learned, do your research!) I upgraded leaf and coil springs. Im going to begin making it a tastefull restomod this summer. Can anyone provide any links or anything where I can get some ideas? Thanks!

I like to think my 65fb is a tasteful restomod...you can look through my project timeline pictorials to see some of the mods and how they look. Most of the visual stuff starts in 2003 into 2004....before that its alot of drivetrain and other invisible mods.

You may also want to bookmark the site because when you start to make a choice on wheels and tires, I maintain a chart that will be your best friend

You might find a few goodies on my webpage. Stuff on my car, tech pages, and a BUNCH of links. Enjoy!

65 fb looks great. What color is it? It looks similar to the laser red on my 94 cougar. I also have a 65 fb. However, doesn't look as great as yours.

the color doesn't have a name. It was painted that color when I bought it. I had a computer color match done to paint the hood and the color has a card...but it wasn't named. I used to call it Ragoon Red with Gold flecks....but now I call it DTR

I think you just found the best site for restomodding your classic. There are many other BBS/Forums out there but for performance oriented modding this is the best IMHO.
