Restoration Parts Suppliers

Is there any one of these parts suppliers that's a cut above? Being that I live in Las Vegas, there's Mustang Depot (but I have to pay sales tax), I've seen Cal Mustang, Paddocparts, and Mustangs Unlimited. Prices seem to be close for what I'm looking for, so I guess it comes down to quality.

Thanks,

Bryan

My choice is NPD. They carry the largest stock of anyone who I have used over the years, and if the local warehouse does not have it, very possible one of their other three will. Orders over $300 qualify for free shipping, unless it is an oversized package.

Another vote for NPD, but if I were you I'd really consider Mustang Depot. There's something to be said for dealing in person, and shipping could easily eat up youir sales tax savings, not to mention what happens when you get the wrong part.

Good point about the shipping vs. sales tax. NPD does offer free shipping over $300. Other than that, pretty much all the suppliers charge 7-10% for shipping. I don't know what your sales tax is in NV, but I bet the difference would be minimal.

You should check with MCLV and see the program we set-up for their club members.

Jay isn't going to toot his own horn, so I'll let you in on a secret - Jay is the owner of Mustang Depot in Las Vegas. He posts here often and there is not a negative thing posted here that I have ever seen about his service. He has been very helpfull here on all things mustang and follows up with customers if an issue needs resolving.

There isn't a single other vendor who has come close to the positive light that is shone on Jay on this forum.

You should start a thread asking what vendors to stay away from. You won't believe the amout of horror stories you'll hear! And I guarrantee that none of them will be about Jay or Mustang Depot.

Shop local!

I use CJ Pony, Mustangs Unlimited, NPD and Mustangs Plus these are listed in the order of preference I have had good service from all. Some have had bad experience from Mustang plus but the one issue I had was resolved very fast and in a favorable manner. Year one is over prices compared to the others and quality is no better. I have never used Mustangs Depot mostly because I have already conducted business with the above venders, before I finding out about Jay and they have good quality and price but I would not hesitate to do business with him from my observation he is a standup guy and he is local there is a lot to be said about that in my opinion.

Had a bad experience with Mustangs Unlimited. Bought a set of traction bars that stated "instructions included'. Contacted them 3 times telling them I didn't get the instructions. No resolution yet. I just put them on my bad list and won't do business with them again.

NPD- like mentioned above they have almost every part you would ever need, are reasonably priced, and have the $300 free shipping. Other than that, I also use Mustangs Unlimited and Mustangs Plus (I have so-so feelings about them)
