Does anyone have any ideas on restoring these suckers? Hood hinge cups. I'm painting my engine compartment and I don't want to paint over rust and peeling rubber coating. What can I do to make these presentable?? 5.0Resto sells 'em for $125 a pair. I don't think so!

Get 'em sandblasted. My Dad owns a small blast cabinet, for instance, and I know that would cut the rubber coating and rust right off. Then prime and paint.
