does anyone know who makes/where i can get the grill that circles the horse with a chrime rectangle trim and has two bars running straight out to the sides, and i believe it even has two smaller than GT fog lights. any help is appreciated.

The Pony package grille should pretty much snap into place in lieu of the stock grille. The biggest challenge you'll have is wiring it. Ford does not provide an easy way to retrofit the electrical connections for the fogs into the V-6. Aftermarket will likely be the best way to go!!

why cant i get the GT connection? or the switch for the pony package equipt cars. the GT has fog lights obviously, so couldnt that switch be bought and used for the grill fogs like a stock gt?

Also, that pony grille is easy to put in. There is another thread on how to wire up a GT fog light switch for it, but it does come with instructions as well if you get it from West Coast Performance Parts.

For me, it was worth it because I live in the DC metro area, and install was cheap. I originally looked into GT take offs with an Xpipe, but all the shops around here quoted me 700-800 bucks. But listening to other members that live in other areas, the GT take offs are a better deal. Only thing about the GT take offs is the tips are not crome, and I dig my 3.5 inch crome tips.

If you want two mufflers, I have two GT mufflers in my garage that I can see you. LOL. They came with my Casco GT take off bumpers and wheels.

You can, and it will work ,,, but your car is not pre wired for the Fog lights -

so even with the switch - the wiring, an in-line fuse or a relay to the fuse box will still have to be done.

There are some good kits out there that are 'Turn-Key' - I'd recommend that you take advantage of them.

this is my deal ive got ~700 dollars to do what i feel is suitable,and exhaust is definately one of them. I saw this grill while driving around one day but had no idea it would cost 350 dollars on EGAY. I may have my buddy just make me one in his machine shop class : ) but either way, what is the way you would spend 700 dollars on this car? I dont know where I could get it tuned at, but im sure there is somewhere around south mississippi that can tune it. Im not going for performance as much as sound/look. I dont know if I should pass on the exhaust and do just an axle back, along side my peanut butte rleather interior : ). hard choices.

I dont want to presume to tell you how to spend your $700.00 / but if it were mine, I'd get the car dualed out and then get the 'Tune' for it ...

Doug at Bama Chips is just up the road from you and they can recommend a shop more local to you if you need one.

The other thing to consider about the GT switch is that Ford will need to make some programming changes to the smart junction box to get it to recognize that there are fog lights. IT likely shouldn't take much for them to do but I don't think most Ford service departments will know how to do this.

IMHO you're better off getting an after-market wiring harness and extending a couple of wires through the firewall into the car... or using a remote control switch as I and several others on these forums have done.

I have had the GT switch installed and its not a big deal at all ...

We just used an in-line fuse and tapped a hot headlight wire for power.

no problems at all, and a cleaner install than adding another switch, IMO

Cool! So what did you use to trigger the fog light switch? I didn't recall reading that there were discrete contacts on the back of the switch so I assumed that the ECU and SJB were resonsible for bridging between the GT switch and the fog lights.
