is it bad to hit the rev liner?

I would avoid doing so. I'm not sure what your mods are but i doubt your car is making power where your factory rev limitor is. So there is no need to rev the engine that high.

Yeah, its not necessary to hit the rev limiter. Nor is hitting the rev limiter producing any power. My rev limiter is set to 7500-8000 rpm, just depends on what i feel like or what im racing, but I also have a forged rotating assembly, patriot heads, reichard intake, vortech charger. etc etc.

check and make sure u didnt spin a muffler bearing




should be fine tho as long as you dont make it a habbit

You are OK...it is why it is there to prevent damaging the engine. I've bounced off it a few times...just don't do it often.

I've bounced it a lot autocross racing and it doesn't seem to matter much either.
