Funny enough I would do a '72 Impala model too if one were available, that was the second car I ever owned. My first was was a '65 Falcon 2 door hardtop. Model kit completion depends on your skill level or how much time you want to spend to build them right. There is an '89 GT vert' model available. you can build this one as a stocker or as the "lowrider" (yuck!) version they show on the box.How long do these things take? Always had model sets as a kid but never opened them. Would love a 72 impala custom coupe ( which is impossible to find ) or my 88 vert.
I agree with the body moldings of the '93 Cobra kit, the rear skirt on the model resembles a GT more than a Cobra. The intake kinda resembles a Cobra I think. As far as the GMP diecasts. I have the '87 LX one. Dont remember the name exactly of the particular die cast, but it is the one that is blue with yellow on front that goes into flames. Saleen rear spoiler and Weld wheels and drag slicks. It's one of my favorite die casts. Just wish GMP offered more of them.Yep I'm definitely looking forward to this kit to come out. No more crappy resin transkit to make an aeronose notch. I do have a really sweet 79-82 notchback transkit that looks awesome and I can't wait to put it together. Also if they are re-releasing the 1993 Cobra - they better get it right this time. The kit has a lot of issues. Incorrect body shape around the side skirts, incorrect intake manifold, etc. I'll have to see it in person before I buy another 93 Cobra kit. Speaking of GMP and 93 Cobras. I think I have the right to complain if the kit isn't right. I developed the newer tooling aeronose fox body Mustangs for GMP. I worked there for 6 years and to get to do the fox body Mustangs in that kind of detail was a dream. The Cobra R is amazingly detailed. Shame Revell didn't do a 2-in-1 1993 Cobra kit with the option to make a 93 Cobra R! Even though I thinned out my fox body collection, I think I still have around 35+ fox Mustang GMP diecasts.
Hopefully though, this notchback will be a nice kit!
