I'm also impressed with the quality of the Steeda. Perhaps the only sour note was the "high flow inlet elbow." Mine came with the kit, which I thought was somewhat expensive but not outrageous. If I had it to do over again I believe that I'd not buy that overpriced "Inlet elbow"; it's just a small piece of molded plastic with some rubber joints and hose clamps. The whole box o' stuff couldn't have cost Steeda $20 and they've got the nerve to ask $109 for itI couldn't have said it any better myself...In fact, one of my reasons for selecting the Steeda CAI, was because of the quality OEM fit and finish construction, especially in the billet aluminum MAF housing, and aluminum grade heat shield.. I've had my Steeda intake almost 2 years now, and have never looked back since..
It does look better that the rubber OEM elbow, but I'm skeptical that it adds anything significant in the way of horsepower...

I really wanted to hear from someone who had real-world experience with it.DarkFire is absolutely 100% correct, and from my own personal experience, will confirm the inlet elbow has made a significant improvement, over the stock inlet tube, in both airflow and SOTP, as well as being proven on the dyno...In fact, if you take a look at the dyno sheet collection thread ? my results are posted, in which my Stang got 293 rwhp and 309 rwtq with the Steeda intake, Bamachips 93 race tune/X-Cal II combo and Steeda UDP's...All in all, IMHO...I'd say the inlet elbow, is good for an additional 4-7 HP.
