Just wanted to give a reccomendation for Jay at BroaderPerformance.com

Built me a Manual Valve body for my C4 that works AWESOME! Great guy to talk to, and would reccomend him to anyone. Great prices, and great turnaround time.

On a side note. I originally purchased a Transgo 40.3 Full manual conversion and had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS!!!!!!! From what the couple trans guys that i talked to could tell me, is that the 2nd Band was not releasing when it was trying to turn 3rd on, Causing the transmission to not shift into 3rd at WOT. And every reputable trans guy i talked to said whenever they have used the full manual conversion, it has been a crap shoot if it worked correctly or not. So much so that most of them dont use it any more. Transgo was not helpful either. Basically told me my transmission must be broken. Rant Over...lol

Huh, wonder what happened to them. Jay used to sell trans-go, and what I used. I had good luck with it after I found I forgot to put one spring back in when converting it to manual lol. After that it was fine.

He built me a rollerized C6 with a low gear kit and a custom converter for my stroked FE motor (580 ft/lbs torque on the dyno). Loved the tranny but it stalled a little bit high for my taste (about 3000 rpm). I talked to him about it and he said he underestimated the power of my engine. He built me another converter that was spot on and took the first one back.

Instead of dealing with a "whomever" local shop IMO you would be better off sending your tranny to him.

I think he might still use their kit on full auto cars. But he said he does not use their full manual kit due to mutiple problems with it. That is why he designed his own vb.

Jay is a great guy. He built my son's AOD and valve body and a 4R70W with Baumann for me as well as an 8" converter to match. Talk about easy drag racing...very consistent.
