i did the fog light fix where they'll come on with my parking lights but after about a month one of my fog lights wont turn on, i got a new bulb and it still wouldnt work. i plugged in a multi meter and there was no power. so what i want to do now it just rewire the fog lights to a toggle switch by my radio with 100watt h3 bulbs i got. anyone know what size wire wont fry with these new bulbs?

please provide more info on what/where you tested. did you simply rewire the switch source to another source (than the headlights) or did you add a relay too?

the wire should not 'fry' bulbs, but bulbs overdrawing the wire can fry wires/start fires.

please give more info. good luck.

i tested the wires right where the bulb plugs into. and for the rewireing i already did was the "fog light fix" and its on a 30amp relay. when ever i turn on my parking lamp and my fog light from the original switch only one fog light turns on. the new wiring i want is going from the fog light to the toggle switch under my radio which is about 10 ft mabe.

if only one fog light comes on, that suggests the wiring across the front clip or the ground at the light is the issue (not your existing switch or wiring that accompanied the rewire, as if that was the case, both lights would be dead).

first thing to check is the light's ground. i would make sure you have a proper ground up there.

you can find the wiring for the pass fog light in the big wire harness that goes along the top of the radiator. make sure you can continuity in that wire.

if you have ground and no opens in that wire, you should have light.

for testing, you can run a separate ground wire for your test light (dont use the stock ground) and see if the light illuminates. if it does, trace that stock fog light ground.

you can do the same sort of testing for the load carrying wire.

good luck.

I found that the part oval connectors for the fog lights near the headlights seemed to gather all kinds of corrosion on my GT -- I don't think the design seals well. If you pull that one apart and use a little sandpaper on the contacts and then put some dielectrical grease in there I bet it fixes it and you never have that problem again.

i'm running a relay straight off my battery, and then they get starter power from the marker lights, but with the relay they draw power straight from the battery so you dont overload the circuit that the other lights are on. I actually just burned up my headlight switch assymbly because i wasnt running a relay.
