Well, I finally got the car running today, mostly because i had to go back to school today and my dad needed me to make the car mobile so he can put his work equipment in the barn. Here are the changes... (battery was always in trunk)
Old setup...
2GA negative cable
2GA battery->switch->starter
4GA starter->selenoid
(the starter is weird where it always has hot power off the battery then needs a switched wire when to activate it like a relay) so the wire goes from the battery to the switch to the starter to the selenoid
10GA charge wire for 75amp alternator (the wire went from the alternator, to pass side, to front of car, to driver side, to rear of car, to pass side, back then over to switch
new setup...
3GA alternator
2GA negative cable
1/0 battery->switch->selenoid
4GA selenoid->starter
2GA charge wire with 150amp inline fuse
it starts like a charm and charges even better!!! i love it, here are some pics
oh and i hid the wires in the fender too
