The other night I pulled up to a light with a newer Spec-V Nissan... cool.

Light turns green, I take off normally and give it a little bit of gas just to hear my pipes. Spec-V takes off normal as well. Coming up to another light and he is behind me now, but RIGHT on my ass. The light turns yellow and I start to stop and look in my rear veiw and see him diving to a stop... I was gonna get pissed off if he tapped me. So behind me is the Spec-V, and next to me pulls up an older body Eclipse with rims. I guess when two imports are around a domestic one of them has to freak out.

So the light turns green and im a little pissed, so I gave it some gas to put some distance between me and the guy tailing me, who is still on my ass. Spec-V finds a hole in the traffic and does a ricer flyby...

I imagine hes bragging about smoking a Mustang now. But yeah, I dont get it. If someone wants to run your car why not pull next to them and give it a little gas, or even the old honk... not fkn tail their ass untill you about hit them...

Ricers have something to prove, and they're just angry people by nature. Take comfort in knowing you can smoke them

Yea I get that sometimes as well, fn idiots, I think it's called the sneak attack approach to racing cause they know it's the only way they really can get by you. When they ride my ass like that sometimes I like to slow way down then when they try to pass just hammer it so funnay.

I had a thing the other day with some dude in a Supra. He was in front of me, and I was funning with him a little on the way to an offramp. As we got onto the highway, I did a 3-lane change, which is what I sometimes do because of the dangerous situation with this ramp (it is also an offramp!)...so if the opportunity is there, I accelerate to get into traffic as quickly as I can. So I got by the Supra, and suddenly he does ape and starts weaving through this heavy rush hour traffic like a guy with a death wish.

I took the "take it to the track" approach and let him go. No sense being an additional ******* on the road.

Of course, I did see some things from that Supra that make me want to finally get the gears changed in my vert.

if i get sombody tail gateing me for more than 30 seconds i make sure its clear around me then stamp on the brakes! you soon find them off your ass!!

or

i slow down as much as possible till they try to overtake then i stamp it and go past and do it again, they soon learn!

funny story once i was driving along with my mate (i say mate losely) behind me in his little rust bucket, 800cc of fury pile of crap, and he is real close up to me and i mean real close, i know him so think nothing of it, then when we stop at tesco bout 3 miles down the road a very nice police man pulls up next to us walking and tells my mate to go back to his car as he saw him tailgating me and "would like a word" i started laughing as he walked away so the cheeky cooper says to me that your car or daddys? so i said that your ride? no? didnt think so! and i wonder off!

Yikes! Edit: that might work in the UK, but I wouldn't try it with drivers in the states, given the lack of driving skill among most people...they're likely to be taking on their cell phone/fiddling with the cd player/etc. and plow right into you...

I find if you just touch the brake pedal, your car won't really slow, but the brake lights will come on...that's usually enough to cause a tailgater to back off.

Yeah I was pretty mad last night.

He knew if he got a head start flying around me that I wouldnt be able to catch him right away and he could rant about smoking a Stang... Not that im an advocate of street racing, or saying I was going to race him, but if he wanted to race he should start even with me, not a 20-30mph head start...

+1 ... Very funny to do. But after you do that, be prepared to get 'smoked' by them starting 40 miles back and blowing by you.

Then it's their fault & you got a new car paid by their insurance.

I usually slowly slow down by downshifting and drive slower, esp if i was already going 5 over. I hate tailgaiters...it does nothing. i don't even tailgate if i want the person in front of me to go faster (can't have a rock or something fly up either haha).

I had a lady behind me in a big dodge ram on my ass in a 45 and i was already going almost 53. So i slowed down even more to 45...she actually backed off and gave me room the rest of the way.

I don't condone tailgating, but left lane bandits are the worst and deserve it sometimes. Going faster than the speed limit does not give you the right to sit in the left lane. It is for passing. Why don't drivers understand this concept. It isn't hard. When you see someone else coming up behind you moving at a higher rate of speed, move over to the right and let them pass.

There wasnt a race...

He would have been destroyed if I would have kept the gas down and not taken my turn... But I didnt feel like losing my licence, or endangering someone else to catch up with him, then layith the smackdownith.

dude he was drafting you. his little vspec needed all the help it could get before winding up and exposing itself to the oncoming airflow and passing.

i get people doign that all the time. ****ing minivans will come around and pace me then take off. not even worth my time to even remotely acknowledge their existence.

d00d, those new minivans are like twin super tripple turbo charged dont u kno? teh spinnas only add to the HP level.

Seriously, some people have an off balance sense of whats fast and whats not. If he thinks a minivan is freakin quick, he should go for a ride in a Stang, he'd probaly wet his pants...

If peeps tailgate me, I SLAM on the breaks for an instant and then let off. HAHAHA it scares the crap out of them, their car swerves around and onetime the driver was all throwing his hands around up in the air afterwards (probabaly call me alot of names) ....but it works and they BACK OFF QUICK .

yeah if ppl tail me...i do two little brake taps. not to slow down, but to make my lights light up....i know they see it cuse i look in my rear view and see them looking forward.

if they are still on my @$$ then i give my brakes a nice hard push....with those 13" rotors up front i slow down pretyt quick....it either freaks them out or piss's them off.

either way they get out from behind me or back off...plus in CA if you hit someone else (I.E. rear end) 99% of the time, the cop is going to say that you were at fault for following to close....i asked a CHP officer one time if their was a law for brake checking ppl. he said that he could not think of one.....hehe good enough for me

lesson to be learned here....ride my ass, i brake check you and your insurance pays for it!

sorry for the long post...but i just HATE IT when ppl do that *****.
