Could anyone tell me what could cause a rich condition above 5000 rpm. It happens every time at 5000 rpm, engine looses power and black smoke exits exhaust. Only happens when engine is completely warmed up. Running 30psi fuel pressure with 24lb injectors. No check engine light present

A little background info on your combo would be helpfull... Mostly stock? Heads/cam/intake?

Is your mass air sensor matched to your 24lb injectors?

can still have codes present without tripping a CEL. Pull the codes to see if you get anything.

sounds like you could be losing spark out of the distributor cap, rotor, plugs, or wires. if it was the module, it would misfire all the time when warmed up (not just at 5000RPMs) or it would not fire at all when warmed up.

Have 24lb injectors with C&L mass air meter, with 24lb sampling tube, the problem never occured until I passed through a water spillway, i have checked all of the plugs and made sure everything was dry, even installed new ignition module with new hall effect sensor, the problem still presist
