After nearly completing the restoration of my 86, I have 2 insulation pieces left, and I thought they went under the fender liners, but Im puzzled now.

They have 3 holes for push pins... and I am lost.

If that is the original shape and has not been cut in an way, I would say trunk liner on the sides

Here are the pre-cut shapes for underlying insulation. It does not appear that it is any of the exterior shapes so it has to go under a panel inside somewhere.

Think I sorted it out, I think they go up on the C-pillar. You can see in this picture. BUT I am not going to take it back apart to put those in. Heh.

You mean you dont want to go through pulling the rear seats and inner quarter trims again?? I hear ya! Id leave them out too if I had all that put back together. Very nice work on the car by the way @MRaburn.

If you have OCD like me, It is just a matter of time before you will be putting them in. My son hates when I think about something for too long. Most of the time he will begin putting on shop clothes and then just say, "lets get it done before you wake me up at some stupid hour to do it."
