Update as of June 13th. Cars looking really good at this point. Subframes are all installed, trim is on, etc. Just some small details. They lost my cowl so I'm trying to find one of those right now. They're going to be respraying some clear in some spots because it wasnt satisfactory to them. Just a bunch of little stuff. Should be all done by Wednesday.

However at this point, I'm having some problems with the offset of my wheels. If you're knowledgeable with that crap, as some of you are. Please check out my technical thread to see if you have any helpful input.

Yeah, the trim really looks awesome. Mine was so crappy before. Honestly, it was the worst I'd ever seen. Now it looks great, so I was pretty happy about that.

Car will be done Friday. Got the last of the parts today from UPS (thank god, I've spent around 400$ on shipping), went up to the shop today to take a look at it. Looks pretty good, still has a few runs and quite a bit of wetsanding to do still, but its got new tint, and the bumpers are on and stuff now.

I take holidays after work on Friday, as does the bodyman, so he assured me that it will be done friday and he'll work 20 hours straight tomorrow if he has to to have it done by friday.

My brother is coming into town next week and he has a Nikon SLR so I'll get some really nice shots of it when he comes into town. Until then I'll just take some with my Canon SD850.

I havent posted any updates because I havent really had any lol. I've been in limbo with it and I just want it back really bad now.

Ok, so it still isnt completely done yet. I have the car, but once I got it and I got it out in the sun, I noticed some runs in the paint. I snapped a few pictures, but I have to stress that it really needs a wash job in these photos, it wasnt clean when I picked it up, so it has residue left over from wetsanding and all sorts of dirt and **** all over it. So once its washed and the runs are out, I WILL get some better shots of it.

Anyways, heres what she looks like as of today. Let me know what you think.

I think that the paint looks great. The close up pic of the metallic looks right on! They did a good job laying it.

It's definately weird though to see your username with a grey notchback in the thread...haha...because I'm so used to seeing it blue!!! But it looks awesome grey, I like it!

Do you plan on getting some chrome wheels in the future? I think with the new paint, a set of Chrome Pony R's would look beautiful!

I am planning on getting some new wheels, but I was actually leaning to a set of black bullitts or FR500's. Although a set of Chrome wheels had crossed my mind, I'm not entirely sold yet. I have time to think though because I plan on doing it along with a 5 lug, and I dont have an extra 2500 laying around right now. This just cost me almost 7 grand (including a few parts and shipping (suck my nuts UPS!)).

And yes, its really weird seeing it gray. I LOVE the color, but I'm waiting to wash it and have it all rinse away. This is by far the coolest thing you can do to customize a car. I really enjoyed the Regatta Blue, but I would have always wished I had painted it, so now I'm super happy.

Thanks dude, I'm eager to see what your little lx is going to look like. Did you decide on a paint color yet?

Oh, and for anyone that doesnt already have them...get Subframe Connectors. That should be the first thing everyone should do to their cars. Amazing difference.

Yeah, I was planning on getting the runs and stuff fixed here asap, but hes finished for the weekend and hes busy next week so it looks like it goes in on the 21st to get all touched up. So knowing that, I'll be washing it up today, and when the sun goes down a bit, I'll go out and take some pictures.

Car looks real good but I do have one question...

It might be me, but the passenger side fender and door dont appear to match perfect. The door back appears darker. Might just be me, but all 3 of the photos I notice it.

Other than that it looks real good, and with the right wheels would look amazing!

No, I even just ran out and had a look haha. The shop said that the Dark Shadow gray had some pearl in it, so thats just the way it looks in the photo. Not to mention the angle it was taken at and the time of day. But good observation, I see what you're talkin about.

I'm about to post up a new thread with some washed pictures and stuff, you can take a look at it from different angles and it should change your opinion.

Whatever dude, you have the sickest car on this website. Period. I like my car though, its a long way from done, but I enjoy the hobby and the car. I wanted it to be different, so I liked gray, the cobra grill on an lx, shaved the emblems, etc. I just have to find the right wheel/tire combo and fix up the interior - which is next on the list.
