Rim Fittment

Hey everyone, i'm new here. I have an 81 mercury zephyr (fox chassis). Ive done an 8.8" swap and a 91 mustang brake swap (still using the stock struts). Now im going to do a cobra brake swap, im using stock length axles in the rear and the 95 spindles in the front to keep the track width stock.

What size rims do I need? I found the perfect rims that are 17X8 with a 24mm offset (5.5" backspacing) Will they fit, or will they hit the strut? Shoudl be the same for mustangs, anyone out there know?

i think your right on the 5.5" backspacing. Maybe somebody that know a little more about wheel will jump in.

Should fit fine. I'm running a 17x9 with a 20mm backspacing with a 245/45/17 tire. Front rubs a little when turning all the way one way or another. No issues at all on the back.

I know the rims will fit the mustang setup, i just dont know if they will fit with my strut setup

I dont know, I think my struts are shorter then the sn95's, but as for the angle i have no idea, Im using a 91mustang cross member and a arms and my 81 struts bolted up fine to all of that?
