I have a 99 cobra its lowered about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 and has 17x9front 17x10 rear Sean hyland rims.
Problem: When I turn the wheel either way fully I begin to hear clunking grinding noise. It seems like its rubbing on more then the wheel well.

Any suggestion on what i should do to fix this?

ok i dont know what the others said, but i have the same problem .your tire is rubbing against the front sway bar, if u look down there, u will see black tire markes on it, the only way around this is to get wheel spacers. i think the sound is awful, sounds like ur doing damage

I had the same problem when I went to 17X9 Rims. You could hear the rim rubbing. I put the car on a lift and turned the wheels and saw it hit the sway bar. At the time I had the stock 245/45/17 tires. After I switched to 275/40/17 tires the problem was gone.
