RIM jobs... who's experienced?

Where do the spacers go and what exactly are they?

Mine are similar to this:

It's better NOT to run these obviously. Which is why I wish I had gone with 10.5s in the rear to begin with. I most likely will be removing the spacers when I have the slicks on. Even with hardened 31 spline axles. I don't want to risk it.

BTW - most of the time, if you can get tires at the same time as the wheels, you'll save some $$$. I would hang on to the tires you have for front replacements. OR save the old setup just as it is for winter. But that's just me. It's all a matter of opinion.

I run 17x9's with 255/40/17's on all tires.

The wheels are just a basic silver Cobra R.

The tires do stick out just a tad from the rim, which I don't mind as it protects the rim.

One thing to be cautious of, sometimes on the fronts if you run a 275+ the tire might rub on the splash guard.

It would be a smart idea, for a street car, to just run the same size on all 4 tires.
