I'd like to order the chrome cobra r rims from Summit racing, the only company that ships to my country ,
I'm confused about what is the best size for street racing with good material
for 1991 LX ,

17x8
17x9
18x9
17x10.5 <-- it's too wide I think ,

Thanks for every one, :SNSign:

I would go with 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the rear.

Stock 4-lug setup??

There are a few sizes you can pick really.

Since you have the larger '91 front fenderwells, you might be able to squeeze 17x9's all around. However since it's not recommended to run a 245 on a 9" wheel, you might as well stick with a 8" wide wheel up front

Do you want to rotate your tires?

If so, i'd do 17x8's with 245/45/17's all around.

If you don't care about rotating, you can do:
17x8 w/ 245/45/17 front
17x9 w/ 275/40/17 rear

If you are worried about fitting that big of a tire in the rear, then just do 17x8's all around with 245/45/17's

May take a little coaxing, and probably running dumps, but it can be done!

I agree - definately a 17x8 up front and a 17x9 for the rear. If you feel like doing some work, then the 10.5 can be made to fit.

Hey tunedin302 how ahrd was it to get those 18/9 to fit on your car and did you have issues?
thanks

As for the thread i currently have 17/8 front and 17/9 rear and there are no issues so you should be fine with that, but 10.5 would look nice also

Not bad. Just some minor issue I had to deal with because I ran real Saleen rims. The true fun begins when I do a coilover swap in the front

thanks for every body and all replies,
I think ill pick the 17x8 front and 17x9 rear .

For the rear rims , there are 2 different sizes for the Bolt
Circle

17 in. x 9 in., 5 x 4.50 in. Bolt Circle, 6.420 in.
and
17 in. x 9 in., 5 x 4.25 in. Bolt Circle, 6.420 in. Backspace, Each.

one more last question, that will be the same shine from 2 different brand ? the 17x8 from Ford racing, and 17x9 from The wheels group,

Thank you,

Mustangs are 5 x 4.50" bolt circle.

The 4.25" BC wheels are for Thunderbirds/Mark8/Cougars

As for the shine, are you getting chrome? I have a friend that ordered aftermarket FR500's for the rear and Ford FR500's for the front. The aftermarket chrome wheels were far more shinier than the OEM Ford chrome wheels

I just knew about the bolt circle for mustang,
the available in summit :

17 in. x 9 in., 5 x 4.50 in
18 in. x 9 in., 5 x 4.50 in

the only choice I have to buy 4 rims all from the same size, I think ill go with 17 x 9 in , any other Idea ,
