What's the difference in all the different thickness rings....5/64, 1/16, 1.5mm, etc....Would thinner ones be better or worse? Advantages and disadvantages?
The idea is to utilize the smallest ring to reduce friction yet large enough to withstand the pressures of your combustion chamber. I don't recall the rule of thumb off the top of my head, but any decent engine shop should be able to point you in the right direction.
