DVD decryptor
DVD shrink

both freeware...both work perfectly. Rips and burns DVDs to perfect quality, i've done TONS with the software.

Decrypter and Shrink are great, but to get past the new Sony DVDs you may want to try AnyDVD and DVDFabDecrytper.

What I like with DVD X Platinium, is that I can burn different ways (like other programs also). You have ADVANCED or SIMPLE. The simple stuff gives you 1 language, and no menus, and with/without subtitles and Pan & scan/widescreen. Very fast and takes less space on the dvd so no compression needed so eventually best quality. You put the movie in and it plays automatically. No menu setup bs. I just love that.

Decrypter will make 1 single ISO file (and the MDS instructions). Then use shrink to open the 1 file. Reauthor to take out what you dont want. Back it up (you need Nero to burn). Takes a lil longer than using shrink alone, but alot neater and will break 99% of all protection features.
