It is a crying shame BFG doesn't make that tire anymore if for no other reason than the tread design. Are you planning to replace the rears due to the dry rot or can you magically fix that too? (wouldn't surprise me at all

Tires are More for mockup and deciding on wheel finishes. Just trying to get it finished up item by item. In keeping with the theme. Braided dipstick done.

Which dipstick model / PN did you use? If I had to guess I would say it's a Lokar part. That looks a lot nicer than the factory dipstick, and more functional with headers.

And the car says 'does this wheel color make my brake rotors look fat?'

First of all, I'd like to thank @95steedamustang for bringing us all along on this ride so I could (for sum fkn reezn) spend a couple of hours of my sleep time listening to my brain think about a car that I don't own and why the wheel finish appears [off] in some way.

Sooooooooooooo... Thanks!

I still can't put my finger on it but this tickles my brain but it's [not] about the color. It's about the finish and this finish looks at home with the finish of the car:

Of course, it occurs to me that I'm not getting anything on my screen that is even [near] what you see first hand but it's the contrasts in front of me that I'm comparing (if that makes any sense at all).

Seriously, I had to realize first, that my brain was working on it, get up, get a smoke, and tell [me] how dumb I was to be awake and thinking about it in the wee hours.

p.s. don't paint your wheels purple

What kind of gray can you work up that is close to the color you sprayed but with candy mixed in?

I have limited experience with candy coats but one of the things that always stuck out to me is how [baked ceramic] the finish often looks.

Well, I can tell you that as soon as I put the grey wheels on the car and stepped back. I didnt like it….at all. Not a particular finish, but grey in general on this car. The reason is… And I’m going to credit a good friend with this statement… is the paint on this car looks wet. It looks 10 miles deep. No wheel color is gonna look that good unless its bright.
The good news is I now know with certainty what I’m gonna do with wheel finish. Once the car is done and the shows over, I’m gonna pull the wheels off and do them in plasma and get the new tires. And that will wrap it up.

Wiring is done. Credit to @SorsCode who I asked to rework my Fuel injection and alternator harnesses. Exceeded my expectations which if you know me is hard to do. Even tho you dont see much of these harnesses…they are slimmed and any un needed wires gone. New and much improved fuel injector plugs. Excellent work

I also feel like a shiny set of wheels will compliment the engine bay. Happy to see you going this route!

Well, I got the engine and engine bay about done. Just a few small odds and ends left. I changed the blue couplers to black. Made a huge difference.

Could you share a picture of the setup you have for the oil pressure sender? It looks interesting.

Never mind. I found this. I see what you're running here. Extension out of the block with a t-fitting for the blower oil supply, gauge sender, and pressure sensor for the Holley EFI.

There’s guys out there who make nice stainless ones . Jw fabworx did my feed and return for the blower. Center for the feed in the engine is what I have . Feeds - gauge , sensor , blower and no adapters together to look at
