I have to take the Mustang on a cross country road trip in a few weeks (Texas to Northern California, moving home. I figure 2 days driving). Is there any type of prep you do getting ready for a trip like this? I have fresh rubber on the rims, getting an alignment done when before I head out, oil will be changed as well.

Make sure your tires are at the right air pressure Brakes are good. Some caffeine to keep you awake or unless you have a loud exhaust

2 day drive isn't all that bad. Just bring a tool kit and spare just in case. Also, a pillow for your a$$, because Mustang seats are TERRIBLE.

Make sure you have some good music to listen to and like said above plenty of coke or somthing to keep you awake. The coke will keep you occupied when you want to dose off or a good co pilot to talk to.

That's exactly it man.....the Monsters will keep you going no problem. I usually make 20 hour straight thru drives and Monster's keep me from nodding off.
