I just have to comment on this drawing by roadsterII, when I seen this drawing/pic I could not stop thinking about it, all I could think of is the A/C shelby cobra which I was thinking of buying a kit car for the last little while, now I don't know. I think trying to build a car as you are (as drawing) would be just as cool if not more so than the ac cobra of which I see more and more of on the roads. You go me impressed and thinking...well done.

thanks guys,
good eye 393 boss, the AC cobras had much to do with the look I was after.
yep, that's the sketch that started the whole roadster concept. If only I knew how much time I was getting into with the project.
I have changed many things on the body of the car as I've worked on it (back flares, back bumper, fill piece between the taillights).
Looking back, I should have built a tube frame and mounted the body to it also since now I'm trying to short out the brake/clutch pedal layout, engine and tranny mounts & steering linkage with the unibody dimensions.

I have got to tell you I am really impressed by some of your drawings/ideas, I also seen the daytona drawing. I really can appreciate the imagination it takes. I have been thinking of getting more into the mustang II's and scraping some other projects I have planned. I got a blown 351C that I really want to put in a II body. I got a imsa wide body kit and just bought the monroe handler body kit and a pin on 73 mach hood which I was thinking of modding the front end of this kit to try and copy the mad max front end (I am a bodyman by trade of 30+yrs). I think I would like to build a cobra II roadster now too instead of buying a kit. I got lots of ideas in my head and I am going to try and take some time off this winter and build/rebuild some of my cars. I really enjoy looking at extensive body mods to these cars and enjoy doing custom stuff my self, I am looking forward to see more progress on your car.

I think the mustang II would make a good mad max type replicar.

I found this interesting version, I think a custom copy fiberglass nose would be trick.
