Rocker Arm movement?

Is there supposed to be a slight left and right movement on roller rockers? I have 1.7 roller rockers and I notice that there is some slight left to right movement..Is that normal?

did you just install them? has the engine ran yet ? what did you tourqe them down to ?all of these could be a factor! need more info !

the other question is are they stud mount or pedistal mount rockers.

It's normal to have a bit of side to side movement....as long as there is no up and down!

no side to side

no side to side movement, it cant u will destroy ur engine. make shure there pedestal type and if they are u need the pedestal litttle guides to keep them straight

They are pedestal mount rockers, yes the engine has been running and I installed them, torque to 25 ft lbs..

25lbs seems kinda tight!! you sure about that ? did you reinstall the guides? you need them ! they will stop any side to side movement! i have Ford MotorSport 1:6 they have been in for awhile but i dont recall havin to torque them down to 25lbs more like 15 lbs if my memory serves me correct! if im wrong im sure someone will correct me! LOL

As said before, guides! Mine were torqued down to 20 lbs.

I have 1:6 and I just happend to check mine today and they have side to side movemnt but only some of them err I guess I should look this up
