My buddy is giving me his freshly rebuilt 306 with 351 heads and a edelbrock performer rpm cam #7122. All it needs is rockers and push rods. What type of rockers would you guys recommend?

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

That's a flat tappet cam. You don't have it in a roller block do you?

I would go with 1.7 and then measure pushrod length.

1.7 full roller, anything made in USA. Buy an adjustable pushrod checker, proform also makes a neat do-dad that rests on the valve and all you have to do is fit the adjustable pushrod so everything touches.

The cam you are running has an intake lift of .496 and an
exhaust lift of .520. Adding 1.7 rockers will get you
.527 on the intake and .552 on the exhaust. I read somewhere
that the max lift of 351 heads was around .500 but I couldn't
be sure I would check that before committing to the 1.7 rockers.

Max lift is related to the springs used. And pvc.
