Before I took delivery of my car, I had read somewhere on some forum that if you had the Active Anti-Theft system you can make your windows go down from outside the car by somehow programming the keyfob to do so? I guess it's like how the BMW's do...

Is there any truth to this, or has anybody else heard of this? The ****ty ownder's manual has no mention of it...

thanks guys!

My 2005 Stang GT has this feature. Just hold down the unlock button on the key fob and both front windows open. I love this feature!

Ford discontinued this option around Mar 05 or earlier. In the 05, depending on when it was built, it's possible to go to a dealership and have the option turned on in the computer. It has definately been taken out in the 06.

hmmmm I wonder why they discontinued it? If it was something they could turn on/off that easy, I don't see how it caused them any extra cost?

I've never had the problem of the window rolling down by themselves.

I had my drivers side window drop about 1/4 inch a few weeks ago driving down the road, otherwise nothing else. Nice feature to have down in the south.

I had this feature & had it disabled. Every time i would wash the car an hour or 2 later the windows would come down. Acording to the tech & Ford water was getting into the lock and closing the switch making the windows come down. They said they could re grease them but with time it would just do it again at least thats what i think i was told. That was a year ago . So memory has faded some

Maybe I have not had this problem because I don't drive my Stang in the rain or snow. But, I've washed the car more than a few times and have not ever had the problem.
