it appears as if i have a roller cam. while changing my valve cover gasket today i noticed that it looks exactly the same as the ones for sale on ebay (ranger roller cams). now. i have a rear sway bar, this roller cam, and several other odd things. i dont really think the previous owner did all these, because he planned on dropping a 5.0 in, and he never even repaired the window motors.

my question is, were any mustangs manufactured with roller cams?

Not four-cylinders. Was the previous owner the original owner? Maybe the previous previous owner did some stuff.
