Rollin' Tonight -- Seattle

Disregard previous. Spent the whole day under the hood, got her dialed in (so I thought), opened her up, and POP! POP! POP!

My distributor advance is frozen solid. #$%^&ing weather. I am not rolling tonight. Down for another week. And I get to replace my power valves . . . again. . ..

Hey, some awesome news, though:

An older lady in my condo building has seen me working on my car. She has stopped by to talk to me a couple of times, and today she came by again -- I live next to a park, so everyone walks their dogs. (I played hooky today to screw with the car all day.) Turns out her son had hot-rodded an Impala and used to keep it in her second, covered parking space (my unit doesn't have covered parking; she, however, lives on the top floor and has two covered spaces.) She remembers how much work her son used to put into his car, and since there's no one using her second, covered space. . . .

. . . wait for it . . .

. . . she's letting me store my car there. :hail2:

I'm going to offer to buy the space from her. In the meantime, my wife is baking cookies for her tonight.

I've got to hit the swap meet this weekend and pick up a distributor. Problem is, I only need the shaft and the bronze gear -- I want to use my Pertronix, coil, & cap -- so I don't want to throw down $100 on something I'm just going to gut. Else I'd go to Schmucks and be rolling tonight. So I'm out until next week, at least.

I was thinking about trying to find the Mustangs Northwest club meeting on Friday, but since no one in the club seems all that eager to tell me how to sign up in spite of all the emails I've sent, I could be pursueded to change plans. I work a 9-5, so Friday or Saturday works for me.

I have never been to a Mustangs NW meet. But have heard from a few that it's a bunch of well......snobs. They all talk about how much $$$ they have spent on their cars, yada, yada, yada.

I'm game for Friday, saturday night I have some plans already involving beer, and the Museum of Flight. Annual Hops and Props is this weekend. Micro breweried from al over come in and give out beer. Kinda on the expensive side, like $50 a person, but it's all you can drink, and lots of food, and you get a commemorative glass. And it's inside the museum, so you're around all the historic aircraft.

Friday night my band's gigging at the Highway 99 Blues Club downtown, across from the Aquarium under the 99 viaduct on Alaskan Way. If I get a vacuum advance (waiting on Schmuck's) and get time tomorrow before the show, I may have The Skunk parked out front around 7-ish on Friday. Cover's $12 and we're double-billing with rockabilly piano legend Mitch Woods. Show runs from 9-midnight Friday & Saturday. FYI.
