Hey guys I have a 96 GT 5 spd and i am planning to do a p.i. headswap, LT header, and dyno tune. I need to know what the differences are between romeo and windsor. I know the valve covers are different so i want to make sure that i have all the right stuff, or if i would be better going with parkway performance complete kit. thanks.

For your PI swap, you want 01+ parts. Those are Romeos, which is what your current motor is. You will need less parts going this route.
So the 96-98 4.6's are Romeos as well? Didn't something happen in 99-00 that forced the Ford to use the Windsor blocks?

The Romeo block was from mid '01-'04.. They came with bolt-on cam gears, instead of the press-on used by the windsor block.

You want to go with Romeo heads/cams, that way you won't have to buy new cam gears and crap later on down the line. Romeo also has higher compression and 11 bolts on the valve covers.

I did the head swap with 01' heads. I just used the original valve covers that were on my non pi heads. Becuase I intinally bought the windsor covers and they were 13 bolt which didn't fit, but luckily my non pi cover fit perfectly with the 11-bolts. So I junked the windsor covers instead. So check your covers out, before shelling out more cash. just a tip.....
