Ron Morris EFI mounting bracket

There was a thread a week or do ago looking for EFI computer mounting ideas. Someone linked a photo of a bracket Ron Morris makes or made as in past tense. I checked the on-line catalog at Mustang Plus there was no sign of it there. The Ron Morris web site also does not show it either.

Anybody know if this is still available?

I called Ron Morris and was told the item has been discontinued and is no longer available. Looks like I will be making my own.

Yes, that is the one. The Ron Morris bracket posted on that post is no longer available. Mustang Plus used to have them, I have an older catalog and it is in the write-up about EFI in the catalog. They had the price at $29.99, when I saw that I thought, by the time I figure out how, make it, and get everything lined up, it would be worth $30 just for the time saved alone.

I bought one from him directly over the phone 8 months ago - all it was was a 6 inch wide by 10 inch long with a triangulated end and a few holes drilled in it and bent to a 30 degree angle fairly stiff guage stainless steel plate that you mounted to the rear axle hump area by drilling 3 holes and using the included mounting nuts/bolts/washers - works great but you can make it yourself with everyday hardware materials if needed for a few bucks and a vice.... I figured it was worth $30 to not have to waste time fabricating it - I find it hard to believe he is not still making them - looks like a huge profit margin. By the way - everything Ron Morris has is going to work just like it should - bought lots of stuff from him - GREAT SERVICE & knowledge, parts, quality, etc...

I think you are talking about the fuel pump, filter plate, that is still availalbe. I need the one for the computer, I don't think you located your computer back by your gas tank did you?

yup - that is the fuel pump mounting plate I was talking about - sorry - I thought you were asking about the EFI pump bracket. --- on my 1970 a/c car I mounted the computer on the passenger side interior side of the cowl with some home made aluminum brackets under the dash - fits perfectly behind the removeable knee panel on a 69-70 for easy access but you have the first generation mustang so I have very little knowledge about how the passenger upper dash/firewall area looks in there.

I have the Ron Morris bracket on my '65. It mounted the computer up above the radio, between the wiper arms. Sad to hear it is no longer available. You should be able to fabricate a plate to mount it there, especially if you have the o/e plastic computer mount. Another option would be to bolt the factory mount directly to the bottom of the cowl, using some standoffs to position it where you want.
