I have a 69 302 and I just finished a C4 to a TKO swap.

I Installed the stock height ron morris mounts. The problem I am having is that the engine is rolled right. This is creating an angle and a gap at the transmission mount. (See attatched Picture)

--- I did not have this problem with the original factory mounts that I had.

--- Im not ruling out my cars frame, but its frame is pretty damn straight. I dont have problems with alignment and I dont feel any kind of flexing while driving.

I did manage to get the transmission mount seated even with the angle. I have already driven about 300 miles and I do not have any vibrations.

Since I dont have any vibrations, would it would be ok to just leave it as is? If not, how would you guys recommend fixing it?

This is the moderndriveline crossmember and it drops the trans down quite a bit. I have PLENTY of room ro raise the trans from half inch to maybe even a whole inch.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to put a jack under the transmission, loosen the trans cross member to frame bolts, get it nice and seated on the rubber mount, then jack up the trans to the desired height and redrill holes for the cross member.

Are you sure you have the crossmember bolted up correctly? On my '70 there were 2 different bolt holes that I could have used on the driver's side of the mount

If you're using the lower one instead of the higher one, it could produce the problem you are seeing.

Are you 100% sure the engine is not siting right ? Check the oil pan height from the floor on both sides of the motor. If you got defective mounts then call him up and have him send you new ones.

I do have the same height of mounts on each side.

I did notice 2 holes on the driverside also but the cross member only fit this way.

Ill measure from the oil pan to the floor on each side. I did eyeball that and it looked pretty even. Also the top of the engine looks even (comparing the valve cover height and aircleaner lid)

Ill recheck these and see if I can get the crossmember mounted to the other hole. I remember not getting it to line up the first time.

In anycase, does anyone see a problem leaving it at a angle like this? I have my old C4 mount that I can cut into a wedge shape to make sure the trans mount is seated correctly.

I would not run it like that. It may not cause any problems with the internals, but I would imagine that it will put stress on the trans case and might change the drive shaft angle.

I was looking back at some pictures I took before I pulled my C4 out. It looks to be the same way. So I guess Ill just square up the trans cross member to the trans mount then just redrill holes in the frame.

Guess I could try putting the 1/2 drop mounts on the driver side and leave the stock on the right side also.
