I did the brakes last fall, and the car hasn't been driven since.. has just sit on jack stands. I had to remove the rotor today while trying to do my balljoints, and when i took the rotor off, the outter bearing just fell right out, and the inner bearing along with the rubber seal stayed on the spindle.

Is this normal or are they supposed to be pressed good into the rotor?? Everything was heavily greased ofcourse.

Kinda scary how the front rotors bolt up.

Everything is a loose compression fit. The only thing keeping your wheel from falling off is a small nut torque down in INCH-pounds.

Exactly what i was thinking!

Thanks for the info guys, i'll be ordering some new rotors next payweek. I'm going with the 73mm calipers as well.

learn something new everyday. i never bought new rotors. come to think of it, the races might not come with the bearings, they might be seperate.

The rotors are an integrated rotor and hub with the races as part of the assembly. It's all 1 peice.

All you need is the rear grease seak, inner and outer bearings and a cotter pin and that's you basic front brake rotor swap.
