Very very good chance it's the chip. No bigs.

Mike, I couldnt think of other things to contribute (hence my not posting further info). I just re-read it and am still not coming up with things. One main reason I decided to fix my media player was to hear/see your clip.

You would need ample grounding from the engine to chassis (the chassis is what completes the ground pathway).

If it feels like someone actually turned the car off for a split second, I'd double check the primary power connections (battery, power distribution block, etc). Been there and done that on a rear battery car (the run of cables seemed to exacerbate an issue I had).

For your miss (if not related to above), have you taken a peek at the PIP? I check real quick for slop in the components (mainly dizzy shaft run-out and build up of chit on the shudder). I spray the sensor down with contact cleaner occasionally because I get a ton of dust under my cap.

I like doing the plug-wire light-show test idea too.

I'm just tryin to think of quick little things that could be it, or that can be checked off the list. You have modded and deleted enough stuff otherwise that I'm not sure how it would react or what symptoms might pop up.

Good luck brah!

I was also thinking it might be the PIP. I had this go bad in my car and it seems to happen to quite a few peeps on here. Only problem is it didn't come up in the codes. If you can't find anything you might want to check it.

Question: Is the PIP interchangeable between the 302 and 351? I could borrow the one from my stock dizzy if they are.....Which leads me to another Q: Do MSD dizzys use the same PIP as stock?

BTW, I havn't had any time at all to work on the car this week....Maybe tomorrow....

Couldn't tell you that, I'm not sure. But I can say that I don't think that it costs much but you do have to take the dizzy out and take it apart as the sensor goes around the shaft.
