Rough Idle On Startup

Hello, so i got a 1980 mustang with a ford 302 in it.

Every time i start it up cold it cant idle on its own for the first 1-3 minutes, I have to keep my foot on the gas for some time to get it to heat up.

What could be the problem for this? It's only for a couple minutes but its annoying having to rev the engine for that amount of time before going on a drive.

It includes how to dump the computer codes quickly and simply as one of the first steps. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
