I was at a local dealership this weeked and got to see one of the new roush stangs. Sweet ride but not worth the xtra cash imo. But I did love the carbon fiber dash trim kit it had. Went to the roush site and didnt look like you could purchase it seprately. Does anyone know of where or if you can buy it or one that is like it? Other trim kits I have seen have looked kind of cheesey to me but I liked this one and Im a fan of almost anything carbonfiber. I know it will probly be fairly expensive but I would like to see how much b4 I make a final judgement on getting it or not. Any info anyone has on these would br appreciated.
Thanks

:spot: I order mine July 9 there done building it,its 1.5 weeks away. I work at the ford plant
in Norfolk Va. I can track your unit on the ford web. What is your vin # maybe I can help you.

Dont have a vin yet unfortunately. There is still one at the dealership I ordered it from infront of me but I grow more and more anxious every day. But thanks for the offer.

I am guessing it is one that is stuck on like all the rest but it doesnt look cheesy like most of them do. If I could find a molded kit that would be the ticket for me then, the roush is just the best Ive seen so far. But thats why I put this up to see if anyone knows anything about it cause the site doesnt say much of anything.

I have a 65 Galaxie built at the Ford plant in Norfolk, any chance they might have copies of old build sheets stashed away?

All Roush Kits/Parts are pictured at www.roushparts.com When the home page opens, way over to the left select vehicle type: 2005 Mustang, then hit search. 6 pages come up.

I, too, looked at the Roush Appliques. However, have you checked out Steeda's website? They are selling the kits too and for a MUCH better price. From the picture, it 'appears' to be a similar kit. Not sure what gives but why pay $400+ when you can pay $150?

Does anybody have any incite on this?

Incase you hadn't noticed. Roush is higher than everyone else for parts. Short throw shifter (1994-2004) is about $70 more than anyone else.
Their "shifter kit" which is basically a 60's style shift lever. Made from about $10 worth of aluminum is $105

Before I say this let me remind everyone that this is only my stupid opinion.... lol... and I know that Roush is a great company.... but does this common carbon fiber pattern look really "Auto Zone Ad On" to anyone else. I just think that the carbon fiber dress up stuff looks like total *****.... I'd much rather have my aluminum dash..... once again just my opinion....

I agree. Unless it's a genuine carbon dash in a super car it just looks out of place in any other car that doesn't make extensive use of the stuff or other weight saving materials elsewhere in the car.

You're not the only one. I think it is pork chop ugly. (That's how many pork chops you have to put around a person's neck to get the dogs to play with them.) I call this a 10 porkchopper.
I don't like it at all.

Don't worry about voicing your opinion:D We all have opinions, and that's great!:flag: I just sat in a Roush Stang at the World of Wheels show a few weeks ago, and thought it looked pretty cool....Its an aesthetic thing...I'll leave the REAL carbon fiber to my '67 ProStreet Stang that I'm building:nice:
